Information about our Vets, Veterinary fees and why the emergency contact is so important:
We no longer offer temporary policies whilst boarding as so many of our customers now have their own Pet insurance. It is wise to inform your insurer when your pet is staying with us.
Should a pet become unwell in any way we will call the emergency contact number left on the Pet’s Booking form for that stay. This contact ideally needs to be yourself or a person who knows the animal very well and can answer our questions reference the condition .
We will take the pet to our nearby vets – Seers Croft at Faygate. Our vets have a 24hr emergency service in house (We reserve the right to use a selection of professional practitioners to consult and treat any ailment that might become apparent whilst your animal is staying with us. Any costs will be payable by the owner). We will also call your own veterinary practice to obtain the pet’s medical history. Unless you are able to arrange transport to your own vets, all animals staying at Cherry Tree will attend our nearest Veterinary practice.
Treatment costs and consultations will be charged to the customer account and require settling in full before animal collection.
Our communication with you regarding any health concern is excellent. We contact you or your contact via these channels : phonecall/ text/whatsapp / facebook messenger.
Infectious Bronchitis (kennel cough):
We strongly recommend dogs are vaccinated annually, with Canigen or Nobivac, to potentially lessen the symptoms and reduce the shedding of infectious particles connected with this bacterial respiratory disease . We will not be held responsible should an infection break out whilst your animal is boarded. We reserve the right to refuse to accept your dog should he be carrying signs of infection. All costs involved in treatment of the animal will be borne by the customer.
